A valid passport and missionary visa are required for travel to Taiwan.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Taiwan, with at least one blank passport page available for Taiwanese visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Taiwan visas.

Taiwanese Visa Application Form:

One original Taiwan visa application form per applicant properly completed on-line, printed with a barcode and signed, plus one copy. Improperly completed Taiwanese visa applications may delay the processing of your missionary visa.

Photo Requirements:

Two recent (taken within 6 months), identical, 2 x 2 passport photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.


OR - you can upload a passport photo to the Global Service Order Form when you place your order, instead of providing physical passport photos.

Other Forms:

Original and photocopy of the applicant’s credentials, issued by the religious organization to which the applicant belongs, signed by the person in charge, containing the applicant’s name, nationality and religion, and the chronicle of more than 2 years of religious work prior to the time of the visa application. Original and photocopy of the applicant’s Religious certification, it should reflect the applicant’s name, nationality, religion, date of induction, and should attest to the applicant’s capacity as a religious worker at the time of the visa application.

Letter Of Invitation from Taiwan:

Original and one photocopy, should be issued by inviting organization, with the person-in-charge’s signature and the organization’s seal, and should contain the following:

  • Proof that the inviting organization is a legally registered, non-profit and properly operational entity.
  • The reason for inviting the applicant.
  • The visa applicant’s name, nationality, date of birth, religion, intended period of stay and religious activities and activity dates in Taiwan.
  • The list of foreign religious personnel who are invited by the same organization and still stay in Taiwan as well as the types of visas they hold.
  • Affidavit pertaining to the content of the letter of invitation.

Medical Requirements:

A certificate of health original and one photocopy issued within the previous 3 months. The certificate must be authenticated by a Taiwanese Consulate / Embassy if not issued from a local hospital in Taiwan.

Other Requirements:

Copy of the certification of registration of the inviting religious organization or corporation.

Global Service Order Form:

This is Travisa's service order form, where you will provide your contact and shipping information, choose the visa processing needed and make your payment. You must print the completed form and send it to Travisa with all other supporting documents.
